I'm not going to doubt you, i snapped the original extending to far . the exceed line was warn due to it being carbon. this is when i needed to know size. i have a brand new Titec 27.0x350mm. slides in smooth , no play. thats why i was. curious. i could not find in specs. i need a 400mm tenth do to knee surgery. that 002mm difference is quite some space.... this is for a 2001 17' gold frame.

What's the point of asking a question if you already "know" the answer? I agree .2mm diametrically (not .002mm, maybe you meant .008") is nothing, especially the way tolerances often work in the bike business. Also, if you're not the original owner it's not unheard of for people to ream out the seat tubes to get more readily available 27.0 or even 27.2mm posts.
