It is time for the homegrown to go to a different home. I know there is not much of a market left for these bikes but if you are still a fan and live in the Los Angeles area and are willing to pick it up, then the bike is yours. It has served well over the years but I no longer use it and would rather have somebody who will use it give it a home.
1996 Homegrown Factory XT, size 21 inch, with custom buff rear triangle. The guy I bought it from worked for Schwinn and customized the build with the buff rear triangle.
Those sweet spots would make great singlespeed bikes. I also bet it could be repurposed into a nice gravel bike. I bet a 27.5 x 35 tire would fit that frame nice.
