SOLD - 1997 Schwinn Homegrown Factory Full-Suspension XTR 19” Complete Bike - Original Owner!

Rare! A 1997 Schwinn Homegrown Factory Full-Suspension XTR in great shape and ready to ride! This was the top-of-the-line MTB bike from Schwinn in 1997 and is considered one of the best 26” MTB bikes of the era. The aluminum frame was made in the USA by Anodizing Inc. (Portland, OR). The Sweet Spot URT suspension design by John Castellano offers 3.75” of suspension travel.

The original RockShox Judy SL front shock was replaced with a RockShox SID SL and the rear spring shock was upgraded to a Cane Creek AD-10 air shock. Both hold air and are working as intended. All other hardware is original. Includes Shimano PD-M747 SPD pedals. Total weight with pedals is a svelte 25.2 lbs.

Asking $650 plus packing/shipping cost.

The designer was John Castellano, not Frank...

You're right! Not sure where I got Frank. Fun fact: John's uncle Richard was in the original Godfather movie (from the Ibis Bikes website).
