Hello gang!  I’m just getting back into XC riding and found you all while searching for parts to tune up my old Homegrown.  Never realized Homegrown’s had such a following; glad to be a member of the cool forum.

I bought this one back in 2004 used from another local rider (Boston area) who took good care of it. I used it for about 4 years and then put the bike in storage for the last 8 years.  Unfortunately life got in the way and I had to take a hiatus from riding.  I’m just getting back into riding regularly now and forgot how much I love this bike.  Just rebuilt the old Judy forks (thanks to http://enduroforkseals.com/ !), converted the 3×9 to 1×9 drivetrain (because it looks so cool), and replaced the chain.  Still need to replace the tires.  They are old WildGrippers and are worn and dried out.  You can see the woven material in the side wall, so I don’t have the most confidence in them, but so far they work.

Welcome.  Nice bike!! You might want to check out the facebook homegrown group also.  There is always a lot going on there.
