Will have to try that the next time around.
When overhauling my 97 Factory FS (this model uses the aluminum bushings with a red teflon coating), I thought for sure the bushings would be worn out and in need or replacement. To my suprise, they were like new.
BUT, what I found is that the bushings had worn away some aluminum on on side of the swingarm. Why the swingarm got it and the bushings didn’t, I have no idea. Rather than trying to fix the swingarm, I replaced it. But that acetate solution could work for it too. Post a pic to show it (if it shows up at all).
