Schwinn Homegrown Model Identifier › Forums › General Stuff › Homegrown Talk › Existing source for decals
I see folks occasionally looking here for decal sets, so I thought I’d throw this link out there. I recently ordered a set of decals for a ’97 from a company called VeloCals. http://www.velocals.com/servlet/StoreFront
They currently only produce them for the ’96-’97 factory and for the 2000 Homegrown and Homegrown Pro, but the 96-97 downtube decals could be used for ’98 and ’99’s as well as you get to specify what inner color and border color you desire. Also, the factory top tube decal on the ’96-’97 set can be cut and rearranged for non-factory models before you apply them.
Also, I encourage the addition of the UV top coat option as it truly gives them a factory look when applied. Got mine applied a couple days ago and am pleased. The font on the downtube may be just a tad bigger than original, but it is nothing anyone would notice unles you put a tape measure to it.
Overall a very good source for those in the need.
I just tried the above link and browsed to HomegrownMTB but there is nothing there.
It says that no search results are found.
It’s possible they got a cease and desist from Pacific Cycles (or whoever currently owns the Schwinn brand?) for using the Schwinn logos and name without permission. Looks like they took down their homegrown decals from ebay as well.
Try contacting them through their site.
Try and contact them as I bought a Factory Homegrown set of decals from them about a month and a half ago.
Just wanted to add that the velocal decals are not correct. They are larger than the original. The seat stay decals are unusable they are so large and the USA tomato decals are defective.
