Schwinn Homegrown Model Identifier › Forums › New and need HELP Please
I had an Alum Homegrown I bought new in 2000, which I had for a total of SIX HOURS before it was stolen! Last night I bought an S 10 from a private party and I am elated. So…. I need some help please. I need to have the pivot rebuilt because there is a lot of play in it. This is a complete, functional bike running XT 8 speed. Can anyone tell me if parts are still available, and maybe how to rebuild the pivot? I am brand new to the site, so if there is a thread with current information feel free to just refer me to the link. Thanks
John Castellano designed the sweetspot suspension and is still building bikes. I have read that he has been able to help owners of the sweet spot. His website is http://www.Castellanodesigns.com. You will most likely have to call or Email.
Thank you very much! I actually did call John and he sent me everything I needed to rebuild the pivot. Very nice guy! He can rebuild the pivot on the Aluminum bikes for you , and make them better than new! Since mine is carbon, he just sent me the hardware. Awesome bike!
