I am just starting to rehab this Homegrown, and wanted to put it out there to see if there’s any interest in it. I will post pics as soon as I can, once I’ve cleaned it up a bit.

    General specs (subject to change):

19″ red Homegrown LXT frame, 1996 model, paint is in good shape, a bit dull, but hope a nice polish will bring it back
Manitou SXR Ti fork (matching tomato red), also have original (now collapsed) “long-travel” Judy XC fork as well
Icon Graphite stem & handlebar (sorry, I realize these are Trek products, but…)
Deore LX/Parallax Hubs and Sun CR17A rims
    Gripshifters and STX/RC derailleurs
    White Industries Crankset
    XT and ?? V-brake set

Once cleaned and rollin I’d like to get about $300 for this original classic. Open to discussion.

    Thanks!
    B.

Well, I had wanted to wait until I was further along in the process, but here’s where we are today. I do have the rest of the components for the bike, just not shown…

Thanks for putting up some photos. The frame looks like it’s in good shape! Do you happen to have the tomato top cap? Would you be willing to sell the frame/headset/topcap without the other components? The reason I ask is because I have been searching for a 19″ Homegrown HT frame to build up fast and light to race competitively.

Back when I was 15 this was my dream bike. I wound up with a 17″ Schwinn Moab 2 instead (after a scorching hot Northern California summer of landscaping), which I still have and cherish. 17″ is too small for me to race, though, and I have a little more means now than I did when I made $4.50 an hour pushing lawnmowers and digging ditches…

Anyway, let me know what you think.
