Time has come for me to contribute to this great site.
I’m the proud owner of two 1999 Homegrown – one Homegrown Pro and one Homegrown 4 Banger All Mountain.

The Homegrown Pro has been with me since 2001 when I bought it NOS. It has been been my faithfull companion over the years in everything from smooth rolling fire roads in the nearby beech forrests to epic alpine adventures in Austria. It has heen modified over the years and the only thing still in the sam eplace as when I bought it is the XTR M952 RD.
The paint work has taken some beating over the years and I’ve often considered a new paint job, but what can replace the BBB?

The 4-Banger has only been mine since the spring of 2008. It was in complete original condition when I picked it up on ebay and so far I’ve only modded it slightly. newer Hope brakes new tyres. It is a sweet ride! It has been sitting a lot in my garage for the past few years as riding time has been limited due to family, work and service abroad. I have a few upgrades planned – new fork, new wheels and cranks – I guess it will make me ride it more often.

As a supplement to my two Homegrowns I’m starting a Project Underground build soon. I’ve had the frame for four years and now the time has come. Th PU was painted in BB Gold by the previous owner – like it or not it still says Schwinn on the titanium drop outs:-)
