Anybody know if the Project Underground came with a head badge? If so, what type were they? I have 2 project Undergrounds, both frames were bought used. One that was very used didn’t have a head badge and I added a round Schwinn Quality head badge. The other barely used frame had a round thick unpainted head badge that looks like a version of the Schwinn Quality head badge. Just wondering.
.
The original Underground did not have a head badge. I have a brand new frame that has never been built up that I purchased when they first came out.
That’s pretty cool you have an NOS frame. I’m sure there aren’t many of those around. I’ve only seen 1 on a popular auction site last year, but too rich for my blood.
I also have a Schwinn Homegrown USA addition (made by YETI) with almost no miles on it. The only change from stock was soon after I bought it I removed the White Industries Wheelset and built a custom set with Chris hubs and Mavik 231 Cermic Rims.
That’s a nice bike. What year is it? And I like the metal signs behind it too.
I’m 99% sure that we would have put a round quality badge on these. That said, since we only made 2XX of them in house, so a headbadge being missed or falling off is a high possibility. Vaguely remember the raw one in your first picture, cannot remember where and when we used them.

The one in the picture is on my display bike. Just found 2 sets of green NOS Michelin Wildgrippers. One (Comp S) set on the display bike and the other set (Lites) are going on Project Underground rider.
Always wanted some King hubs but have stuck with XTR rear and Funky Machine Tech hubs in front.
Mine, as well as most others I have seen, has a round Schwinn Quality badge.
This is also supported by the scanned flyer on Mombat.
