Howdy. New to forum. Hope I am not too late to the party. I have a rare Schweti that I picked up in Durango back in the day. I will try and finger out how to post some pics. At FIRST GLANCE you would say its a 99 HG Elite from Anodized Inc. in Portland with a Yeti decal on one side but …..
Some pics. 199? Has canti tab. Could be Homegrown factory XTR painted green instead of gold and red? I thought some of these where powdercoated in Dgo at a little shop off of 160 W kinda close to Wildcat liquor. I think it was called Durango Powdercoating? I purchaced the frame a a LBS. I was told it was some sort of prototype? I got some of the components at the HG factory when they where closing their doors. Selling stuff to employes and friends at cost. Orderd some stuff and some are handmedown parts. NOS Umma Gummas and new grips. May not be rare but fun bike nevertheless.
The frame looks identical to my 97 Factory HG. Cool color.
Nice looking bike! Frames do look identical.
I didn’t have a picture of my chain stay yoke, but they are the same. I don’t think the 98 Factory HG s have the rear canti brake tab and the 97s do.
Cool, I was hoping you’d post here so we could preserve that one. Definitely looks like a Yeti build, just like my ’97. Very cool!
Thanks! I tell you guys it’s been interesting doing research on this thing. This site has helped as well as some other forms. Looking at the 98 catalog the xtr Factory has a canti tab but the factory XT does not? Should be the same frame with different paint and component group. Who knows really. Just noticed a 99 factory team on FB with a canti tab for boss or whatever you want to call it. Also I notice my cables are on top of the top tube. I think they switched over somewhere 97 98 from the side. I noticed yours Jeff are on the top but the 97 catalog BB blue photo has it on the side. Thinking – 97 or 98. Doesn’t really matter. Fun bike I’m glad I own it. Still fun to investigate it . Thanks for the help
