Schwinn Homegrown Model Identifier › Forums › The Shop › For Sale/Trade › Homegrown factory straight 6 + extras for sale — Sold to Pros Closet
“Sold to Pro’s Closet” A very nice Schwinn Homegrown factory straight 6 that was donated to community cycles in Boulder where the manager informed me that it came from an x-schwinn employee . 1998 Schwinn Factory Homegrown with mostly matching parts in very good condition + extras. It has the 98’ rock shox Judy boxxer era correct. shocks look good and are working, but not sure of the service interval or exact condition. Xtra parts are floating brake attachement, serviced (tango tuned) unused super deluxe shock. Original Coupe deluxe shock(without spring), 22mm hayes brake. HOpe hub and brake in front, etc.
Homegrown factory straight 6. If interested, Check pictures and sale on The Pros Closet’s Ebay listing coming soon.
I would love to see pictures to know exactly the condition of the bike.
Frame size would also help.
So you’re going to part it out on Pro’s Closet? Or sell the whole bike?
medium frame. very clean condition. Sold the complete bike to Pro’s Closet. They will probably part it out.
That’s kinda sad. Did you not get any interest here or were you in a hurry to sell it?
Wow, that was quick.
Pros closet was able to make my margin. I would have liked to sell the bike as a complete on this site to a stoked enthusiast. Its a rare beautiful bike and I was looking for an initial affirmative response, like “Yes, I have interest to buy” I had a tentative offer in place with The Pro’s Closet. the staff were stoked to get it. I’m guessing It will either stay in their collection for a while and/or be offered to all (Homegrown/Schwinn/Yeti/Lawill) enthusiasts via ebay. Thank you – this is a very cool site – best wishes to all.
Thanks for the follow up!. I hope it does stay in one piece and not get parted out. It’s definfitely a cool piece of creative cycling history!
Nope, they are parting it out, too bad…

It’s a shame, but after all, they are a business and will make more money parting it out.
