Just wanted to share my bike. I’m a former collegiate cyclist, so it gets ridden hard (beat up) on all the singletrack trails in Columbia, Missouri. It’ll pass the new 29ers uphill, and it makes the downhills require either lots of thought or a complete abandonment of it. The bars and seat are set so that your weight is over the rear wheel, which makes drops and technical downhills more possible.
I purchased it in stock form from a french grad student in Iowa City, who claimed it was purchased in Switzerland. The frame stickers are from a bike shop approximately 25 miles from the matterhorn (as the crow flies), so I’m comfortable with that origin story.
It’s a rigid single speed, and just under 20 pounds. It’s made from the parts bin and used ebay parts.
