im moving back to Colorado and my team homegrown is in perfect condition just needs a good tune. I love this bike and I love hartails so why should I drop 6K on a ne Santa Cruz when I’m not a bike snob. My ISSUE is my blue SID forks nead a complete overhaul and I’m not sure this is even a possibility due to the age. This is the only issue stopping me from using my full XTR rig schwinn as my MT bike. There is a good company in Longmont Colorado called Dirt Labs who only works on shoks. My question has anyone had a SID rebuilt recently and has it worked out?
If you get a manual for the year and review it, I’ll bet you can rebuild it. I’ve done several and the cost for the o-ring kits and seal/wipers with the oil is around $50.
