MemberHello all. I am looking for a bushing kit for a 1997+ FS frame. That is the larger hollow pivot design. There used to be examples on eBay years ago, but I failed to stockpile one. I recently purchased a Sweet Spot frame and built it up, but the clunk is rather annoying. I don’t really notice it while riding too much, but moving it around the garage with my hand lifting the back of the seat makes it very noticeable. I have not disassembled it yet, so I don’t know for sure what pieces are actually bad, so I’m looking for everything (assuming that is 3 pieces?).
I had these Sweet Spot frames in the 90’s and always had issues with the chain coming off the front chainrings and poor shifting so I had a poor opinion of them. Today, with a 1×10 setup, this thing doesn’t have those issues!! I forgot how comfortable the ride was and am really happy I got another example. I need to take the baby off-road and check it out in the woods.
Thanks for any help,

MemberI purchased the silver 15″ complete bike on eBay in hopes that the bushings are in good condition. If so, I’ll use those bushings and then have a spare rear triangle that I can have disc tabs welded to. That eBay bike also had the Super Deluxe shock which I also wanted since mine had the lesser Deluxe version. I might be offering up a 15″ front triangle in the near future.

MemberThanks for the link to CastellanoDesigns.com. John Castellano himself already emailed me back with tons of information. I need to disassemble my bike and troubleshoot per his description. I’m happy to find out these frames are not forgotten and can be made new again. John even offers to perform the work, which could include machining, at his California facility. WooHoo
