New Old Stock 2000 made-for-Schwinn by Anodizing Inc. of Portland. Schwinn Homegrown hardtail frame, small/15, red. This one can be run cantilever or disc, and the special piece for attaching disc brakes to the frame is included, as is a seatpost clamp, and derailleur hanger. Takes 26″ wheels, a 1-1/8″ headset, and a threaded bottom bracket. Designed to take an 80mm suspension fork. $600.
If you have some pictures you can upload that will definitely help. If it’s a 2000, it’s not a standard 1-1/8″ headset, it’s the ICBM headset.
Also, I hate to say it, but your price is fairly high relative to what they’re going for these days.
Photos please
