Hi, Mtnbkrd98 here (Dary). Boise, ID by way of Southern California.
Anwyay, found the cool site! I owned a Bass Boat Red LX/XT Homegrown in 1998 bought from Supergo back then. I see a few on Homegrowns There’s also a NOS on ebay right now – black LX/XT for about 700 + shipping, I’m watching. Or will find one here maybe.
I did race that Homegrown I owned once, in San Diego at Sage Brush Safari back in 98 or 99. I’ll try and upload a pic.
I started thiking about cool retro bikes just a few months ago, as I also owned a 2000 GT XCR3000 I-Drive, that rode awesome. Anwyay, I’ll be looking for a nice Homegrown complete, or to build from frame up if frame is NOS or excellent.
Hello Dary!! What size Homegrown would be looking for? Bikes and frames come up for sale on occasion here. Good luck in the hunt and Welcome!!
Hi Dary! It’s great to hear about your experiences with classic bikes like the Bass Boat Red LX/XT Homegrown! Nostalgia for retro bikes is always exciting. Speaking of lasting legacies, did you know that having a Wikipedia page can elevate the importance of these bikes in the biking community? It can showcase their history and significance. If you’re interested, I can also recommend some reliable companies that specialize in creating Wikipedia pages, one of them is All American writer usa which ensures your favorite bikes get the recognition they deserve. Looking forward to seeing that pic
