MemberWhat are the specs (Length eye to eye and stroke) for the rear shock on the factory FS Models?
any suggestions as to a particular brand/model?

ParticipantIf you mean the Sweetspot bikes, they are 5.5 eye-to-eye, but with 1.25″ stroke. Very weird. Usually 5.5’s are only 1″ stroke, but that would take away a full 0.75″ of wheel travel if you did that.
Someone recently posted on another forum that John Castellano, the designer of the SweetSpot suspension, sells custom shocks for the bikes, including Fox. I’m a fan of Fox, myself, but everyone has their own opinions.

MemberCane Creek shocks work well. Cloud 9 is tops, but other models work too. CC can custom build you one to spec. They’ve done a lot for the FS frames that need the 5.5/1.25 setup.
