That sure would be neat. Post a picture up if you can. I have no doubt that Schwinn built bikes that weren’t in the catalog. Especially for team members. Here is a Team 4 Banger. Won’t find this in a catalog:

Edit by John-showing off another picture.October 19, 2009 at 4:26 pm #2367johnKeymasterFixed the link so your picture is showing now. Super sweet bike-is the gold bass boat?
There’s a picture of a bike that looks similar in the 1999 catalog, towards the back in the accessories area. I’ll have to scan that in sometime.
October 19, 2009 at 8:11 pm #2368blue72beetleMemberWow, that is quite an awesome combo.
October 19, 2009 at 10:52 pm #2369surfinkMemberThanks for fixing the link of the pics..
Yeah, it is a super sweet BassBoat Gold frame..
I think I am going to sell it though, too many bikes..
contact me @ Surfink55@aol.com
Yeah, it looks just like the bike in the ’99 catalog on pages 65 and 67..
Good eyes.
October 22, 2009 at 3:43 pm #2370JohnnyQPublicMemberI’ve never seen the Gold/Black combo (looks pretty cool)…I have a 19″ Black/Gold one.
Can you guys let me know what you think mine is worth?
It’s in great shape but I just haven’t had the time to ride. The original leaky Rock Shox SID fork has been upgraded with a Fox F100x w/ Chris King headset, upgraded handlebar with Easton Monkeylite & upgraded saddle to Selle Italia TransAm Flite. All components are original XTR in great shape & the bike was just tuned at my LBS in May. No dings or scraped paint.
Thanks,
JohnDecember 11, 2009 at 3:18 am #2415Ruffway25MemberSorry for not coming around. Unfortunatly the same state park I ride in is also the one I go fishing for trout in the spring and fall. Heres a pic of my Project Underground. I’ll upload better pics tomorrow. It needed all new stickers and paint. Needless to say it was my first time with a spray gun but im happy with the way it turned out.
December 12, 2009 at 1:06 am #2416Ruffway25Memberhow do I add a photo. Somethings different.
December 12, 2009 at 3:28 am #2417johnKeymasterIf you click on "insert/edit image" (it’s the fourth one to the left of the smiley in the top row of the editor), you can link to any image you’ve got on flickr, photobucket, etc….it just needs to be a url reference. I’m working on getting file uploading back in here too so you could just upload directly from your computer.
January 13, 2010 at 2:25 am #2485exbmxracerMemberI just recieved an original 1995 Homegrown as a gift. Judy SL fork, White Bros. crank, and XT/XTR comps. The best part is it’s never been ridden. A local shop had it on display for 15 years. I’m beside myself!
January 13, 2010 at 4:30 am #2486blue72beetleMemberWow, that’s a great gift!
January 13, 2010 at 7:10 pm #2490exbmxracerMemberYeah, I’m gonna have to break the seal. It deserves to be ridden.
