MemberI know all of us out there have probably done some mods and updating to our classic Homegrowns. Can somone or a moderator set up a forum on new products and have some reviews?? Im interested in going from 8 to 9 speed after I waffle my rims. Maybee start something like a 69/96er mod review? Ive read in other forums that some guys are doin this to their older bikes, maybee we can get some discusions on here?? Maybee even add an “All Schwinn” Forum, consisting of Moab’s and Mesa’s and even some Impact PRO MOS bikes. My first Schwinn was an Impact PRO MOS.

Awesome retro bikes that alot of people out there are keeping “rigid” and turning them into single speeds. Just a thought.September 29, 2009 at 8:24 am #2353Ruffway25
MemberIve seen a couple people viewed my idea witout any responses. To keep theese classic bikes goin, I really think there should be a mod section on this forum. Id really like to see what some of you guys have done to upgrade your Homegrowns to keep them up to date. Anybody upgrade their Homegrowns with newer components? Id lik to see some sick rides.

KeymasterFor modded Homegrowns:
People have also been posting some SS conversions and other customs in the “Homegrowns you’ve grown” forum.
We’ll see how that goes and maybe go with a review section, but I think you can get better info from MTBR.
Based on the hits and origins thereof I don’t know that there will be enough interest in all the other Schwinn models, and I think they’ve got that covered at Schwinn’s own forums. That’s not to say I might not add the others but Homegrown stuff is the definite priority, especially until I can get the rest of the info on here.
