MemberJust joined this cool site. Here is my Homegrown 2000 red. Found a good deal on a Shimano XT crankset and couldn’t resist. Much better than the stock LX cranks that it came with. Only other upgrade was the saddle and fork. Nothing major. But rides real nice.

2000 Homegrown Red Frame used from ebay: ready to restore tomatoI scored a red homegrown frame on ebay with a few scratches. For it’s 10 year anniversary I’m going to restore it to it’s full XTR glory with a shiny new paint job. Also, the decals I’m going to design myself. The 2000 decals are not terribly difficult to re-create in a graphic design program. Also, I know a place that can print them for me for cheap.March 22, 2010 at 6:56 pm #2651moby
MemberLooking good. Depending on how thorough you’re trying to get you’re frame, you might want to consider using a chemical stripper. It’ll speed up the process a bit and isn’t abrasive on the metal–you know how thin that Homegrown tubing is!!!

MemberSo after trying to fit FSA, IS-8, Campy, etc. Nothing fits this frame except the ICBM. Called Cane Creek. They have a bunch of ICBM in stock. I picked up a couple.

MemberThey mentioned that for now they are still making the ICBM so not to worry for the next few years.
