I use have a BBB 4-Banger I sold a few years ago on eBay.  Love the bass boat paint jobs and history behind the Homegrowns and with Yeti, which I’m a big fan of and have a few of.  Anyway, been getting tired of rear suspension and really wanting to go back to a hardtail, so while shopping around for an ARC hardtail to build up I realized I still had my box of 4-Banger parts, like the 22mm disc brake.  With this realization I figured, heck why not get a Homegrown hardtail to build up.  I really want to run disc brakes so I definitely want to buy a HT with the disc mount.  Before I pull the trigger on a frame, I wanted to check if any of the Yeti made Factory Homegrowns came with the disc mount?  I don’t mind getting a Control Tech frame, but if any of the Yeti mades had a disc mount than that would be the perfect.

BTW, as for the 4-Banger I had.  That was a really nice ride.  The only thing I didn’t like was you could only run a small tire in the back.  I was using a 2.1 and it would rub on the inside of the carbon fiber swing arm when I got out of the saddle on climbs.  That’s the only reason why I got rid of it.

The Homegrown elite models year 1999 have the 22 mm rear disc mount.  Other wise later years would have the IS standard.

I have 99 4-banger and run 2.24 WTB mutanoraptors.  There’s plenty of space for the rear tire.  Never had issues with the tire rubbing on the seatstay.  Maybe your pivots were loose?

Good luck in building your frame.

I have a 1999 bass boat blue hard tail with the rear disk mount. I am currently looking to sell the bike. I worked in a bike shop for years and it is a custom build. This is a fairly heavy dual slalom setup but the fram is what you are talking about. I stand at 5’11” and the bike fits perfectly. let me know if you are interested and I will get you the details.
