Interesting about the “VOID.” It’s definitely a Project Underground, which was exclusively Control Tech.
“Void” pic. I’ll get pics of the cracked headtube later.
One more
I would be interested in the frame as wall art.
Send me a message with cost+shipping to Zip code 74133. I can pay through PayPal.
Thanks,
Eric.
So funny thing. I was looking at more information for this frame again, was doing a good search and found my own post here from years ago.
I rode this bike offroad for awhile and loved it, was repairing it one day and noticed it had a crack in the headtube. Frustrating. So I transferred everything over to another frame and left this one alone. Didn’t know what to do with it.
I still have this frame and I went looking for a serial and a date last night based on some recommendations that showed up on this thread over the years, and low and behold I found a ground off serial and “VOID” stamped into the frame. So I don’t know if that means the frame I bought years ago was already a cracked frame and I had the wool pulled over my eyes or what.
That said, maybe someone wants this for wall art? I frequent bikeforums.net under the same name and will check this here too for comment. I honestly was thinking of sending the frame to FranktheWelder for a repair but now don’t know what’s best. I do think this was likely a project undergournd or colorado because this did come from a local bike shop employee at the time, I do think it is likely a Control Tech built model, not a Yeti.
Anyone with any thoughts, please let me know.
