MemberThat is a pretty limited request. Not willing to sell mine until John sells me his BBB Factory……. I may be waiting awhile on that one. 17″ frames seem to be very sought after lately. You have a better chance of getting a lower price on a 15″ or 19″ right now, but if 17″ is what you need, keep waiting for it.

MemberHey Bikeric, have thought about growing my own but would rather have a full factory not much molested original. If you are not going to sell me yours I will keep waiting. That is what I hear from everyone, be patient and one will come my way but I WANNA RIDE IT NOW. Thanks Mick

KeymasterYou seem like a nice enough guy, Eric, but that BBB Factory isn’t going anywhere…I’ve got some backup bikes I’d sell long before that one.
I do have a 98 Factory XT frame in 17″ that needs a good home, though it’s not in nearly as good condition.

MemberIs that the Blue and Silver BB frame? I could do that. What price point including shipping to zip code 74012? forded@okstate.edu

MemberYou probably would not want my Homegrown anyway since it has definitely been “molested”. I molest the darn thing every time I ride it. The bike has never complained, so I just keep on molesting it and prettying it up as I see fit. I’ve plucked off the XT and replaced them with XTR. It’s gotta look respectable, and oh the shifting……rapid rise in the rear of course. The fork was replaced with a super juicy and always lubed Marzocchi Z2, that just smooths the whole ride. The wheels were swapped for Chris King so that once I mount up I can hear the zipper purrrrrrr. What was I talking about?.?.?….

MemberPardon me for wanting it in close to original condition. I realize these are getting older and harder to find. Riding is not molesting, it is riding, no matter how hard. Sounds like you have your bike pretty close to where you want it. I’ll bet it rides great. Mick

MemberBikeric found XT/XTR mostly original, RocK ShoX Judy SL (I know you want that replaced.) Just beautiful, decals almost fully intact, little ones on top tube have very slight flaking in tiny spots. Blue72beetle told me probably more Homegrowns in CO than anywhere else. Went on craigslist. Picked it up last night. Rides great still has original rear tire on it and it hascracking but it is Michelin Wildgripper. Seat is Avocet 02 air. Bike does not look brand new but looks few months old. Bottom bracket does not have a mark on it. No rock chips anywhere. Was sitting dust all over it. I do not know how long it has not been ridden for but looks like a long time. Guy bought a new bike and just quit riding it. Thanks to all for the assistance. Six bills. Mick

ParticipantLooks great, good deal!
Better orange than mine, mine is really dark. That one is more orange-y. Seems the BBO wasn’t very consistant.
