Schwinn Homegrown Model Identifier › Forums › 1999 4 Banger Done!
Well, they’re really never done are they. Took it for a quick ride around the block and this is nice! The only mountain bikes I’ve ridden is my hardtail Homegrowns and the Sweetspot. This one is much smoother than the sweetspot. For being a 19″ frame, it just feels like a bigger bike. It could be because of the riser bars.
There are some squeaks and rattles to figure out, and the deraillers need some fine tuning, but for the most part, it’s done. I’ve already figured out that the LX shifters suck, so does the seatpost.
