MemberI have a 2000 4 banger in mint condition cause it’s been sitting collecting dust for 7 years because the right drop out broke. It’s the magnesium one but I’ll take either that or aluminum.
Please if anybody has or knows of one let me know.
Thank you.
P.S this site is awesome I thought I was the only Homegrown fan.

MemberHello, Ryan!
I have a lot of spare parts for Schwinn fullys. But I do not have a complete 4banger as of now.
Please upload a picture with measurements of the broken part.

MemberI’m having trouble uploading a picture. I don’t have a computer and I cant upload from my iPhone.
From what I have seen there are three types of drop outs for the 4 banger. Two aluminum sizes and one black magnesium. I have the black one. 13 mm center hole to center hole.
Do you have that one? Hanger side.
Thanks huge.I can send a picture to your email address.

ParticipantThe black ones are going to be hard to find. They’re more sought after than the silver ones, because they’re newer and have the newer brake mounting hole spacing. If you find a set of silver ones, you might consider using those so you can at least ride it again. But then you’d have to do something about a different rear brake…
Good luck with your search.

MemberHello again!
I have only silver ones … but as long as they have the same size it would not matter for the right side, would it?!
Does anybody know the different sizes and if one of the Alloys is the same size as the Mag?
Best regards

ParticipantAs far as I knew, there are two kinds – aluminum and mag, and I thought they are interchangable for geometry but not brake mount style. Where is the size difference on the aluminum ones, assuming there is one?
