Schwinn Homegrown Model Identifier › Forums › How do i remove rear swing arm bushings?
I have a 1998 Schwinn Straight 6, and i’m trying to remove the rear swing arm. I can’t figure out how the bushings come out though. I took it to the local bike shop, but he had no idea how they come out either. There was a single bolt running through the top two bushings and another running through the bottom two bushings… i removed the bolts. But the bushings still won’t budge. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! 🙂
I found out how to get the bearings out… You need a bolt about 3″ or longer, thread it into the bearing with threads and slowly tap it out (make sure to use WD40 and light taps!) then use a socket and extention to tap out the bearing on the other side.
