MemberI am new to this bike thing, but we are selling a frame that states homegrown on ebay currently and a few people are telling me its not a homegrown, would greatly appreciate any input on the subject, I dont want to mislead anyone.

KeymasterIn short, the chainstays are not asymetrical, the seatstays are not of the s-bend variety and there is no canti boss, and obviously it’s repainted and re-decaled. The cable stops also seem off. The dropouts also seem to be flat stamped, unlike what I’ve seen on other Homegrowns.
I don’t know exactly what that is but it doesn’t look like a Homegrown. Check out the 1995 model details and catalog for a bit more info and images.

MemberThat is a Specialized Stumpjumper M2 Metal Matrix frame. Likely from 1995. It should have a gusset below downtube next to the head tube. On that gusset will be the foreward cable stops. If that is the case……Stumpy!!

MemberI saw that frame on ebay and asked the seller a bunch of questions. This is not a homegrown. Although there is an expanding market for M2 frames. The seller told me through correspondence that he was informed by a lot of people that it was not a homegrown, but due to the item having a bid on it, he could not stop the auction.
