Membersorry to hear about your paint problems, but it makes me wonder if there’s more to the way they painted the bikes. i got a 97 straight six and the BBR on it is almost 1 millimeter thick (it had a l’il “love bite” on it when i got it). yet you see a lot of the latter models, BB and powder/ano’ed, starting to flake off…

Memberright you are, they’re meant to be ridden. looks like you got the right parts in the right places so far, it’s a solid build. wish you luck on your race!

Memberhi there. about the adapter…you probably have a 22 mm mount on the swingarm right? when the gen1 hayes came out for these, they had 22 mm attachments, which most folks upgraded to the iso size. you can try to search for old 22 mount housings only fors ale, but they’re very rare, and i’m sure folks will do highway robbery since it fits tons of vintage bikes. there’s one from toronto cycles, either horizontal or vertical caliper mount (if you’re doing either 6 or 8 inch). can’t recall but i don’t think you’d want 8 inch rotors on it. they were like 20 to 30 bucks without shipping. only thing i didn’t like with these are they’re heavy, and you can’t use standard iso mount screws on it. had to try different screw/nut combos to attach the caliper, so i can still have full range adjustment.
it’s weird cause on the pics of this bike, it looked like it had one.
