Hey guys, just introducing myself.
My name’s CJ, I live in South Jersey. I have a 19″ 98 HT LXT that i bought new in 98. Pretty much stock except for a stronglight headset to replace the god awful tioga schwinn put in there. I LOVE this bike. I do most of my riding in Wissahickon Valley in Philadelphia, for those of you who don’t know there’s not a whole lot of elevation change but the park is really amazing for where it is, you’d have no idea you’re in the city. You see lots of high end bikes there and I still 12 years later get compliments on my HG.
Found the site a couple weeks ago while searching for just plain homegrown related stuff. Looks like there’s some great info and knowledge here. I’ll be looking for a 4-banger or straight-6 in the future I think.
I also paint, BTW, and have been thinking about redoing my frame……..just can’t think of if I want to do it a BBR like color or something a little different.
