Yes, the front fork is pretty heavy, its probably 1 pound heavier than the Recon 351 on the other bike. I’m not too sure how I could make the drivetrain lighter – perhaps going to a Chris King/ZTR wheelset and lighter tires might reap another half pound savings. The 31.5 weigh-in was also made with an Easton CT2 carbon seatpost and a SDG Ventura Comp Ti saddle both which were lighter than the Thomson Elite/SDG Aliso Cr-Mo combo.
I could probably do a mix-match of parts from both bikes to achieve the lightest weight possible, but the Straight 6 will eventually get my other Shiver SC fork I got for it when I locate a decent 20mm wheelset.
cleongMemberI finally managed to get my 1999 weighed – it came it at an unexpected 31.5lbs which, for all the lightweight parts I selected for it, is pretty disappointing!
cleongMemberWhat you have is likely to have come off a Yeti Lawwill frame – check out this link:

Should be a Hope C2 #1 caliper.
This guy from Australia in this UK vintage bike forum seems to sell what you need:

cleongMemberThis is my 2001 16″ Straight 6 that weighs in at 31lbs:
The specs are:
Rock Shox Recon 351
Chris King NoThreadSet headset
Interloc stem
Kona DH handlebar with Yeti grips
Shimano M952 XTR shifters and derailleurs with XT cassette
Shimano M755 XT 4 pot brakes
Raceface Turbine ISIS cranks and SKF 600 bottom bracket
Cook Bros Eggbeaters
Mavic Crossroc UST Disc
Kenda Nevegal UST 2.3
Thomson Elite 26.8 seatpost
SDG Ventura Comp Ti saddleThe bits on my Homegrown that are likely heavier than the Straight 6 are my brake adapters (running 203mm on the front with the step up adapter), chromoly saddle rails, everything else is probably of a comparable weight or lighter.

cleongMemberThis is what a 1996 Homegrown Factory Suspension looks like:
Yours has a smaller unified rear triangle pivot and a different unified rear triangle. It resembles a Schwinn 9.Six more:
cleongMemberThat’s a real pity to hear; I just took delivery of a Bassboat gold 4 Banger Homegrown frame I bought on eBay and it has what appears to be the beginnings of a hairline crack on its drive side drop link.
If you decide to part out, I may be interested.
