Could anyone please confirm if this adapter will work to go from IS to flat mount?
I have a 2001 Homegrown Comp with IS tabs. Looking to upgrade to 650b wheels with 160mm discs.
Thanks, Gene

ParticipantHi KnobbyFischer,
I am new to the site. I haven’t ridden mountain bikes since I bought this same 17″ frame 20 years ago. I am really excited to begin transforming the stock Homegrown Comp frame into a similar 650b set up as your daughter’s bike. Did you use thru-axle converters to QR skewers to mount the 650b wheels? I am thinking of buying some used Easton Haven 27.5″ wheels to start the process. But, I don’t know enough about thru axles to say if a conversion kit from Easton will allow me to use 9mm QR skewers.
Also, what hydraulic brake systems or adapters fit with IS mounts? It seems that all other Homegrowns use the A2z mount but the 2001 Homegrown Comp has this IS mount but I can’t find any info how to switch it to a Disc brake.
Thanks,
YellowZebra
