Thanks for the info. The Rock Shox deluxe has the pogo effect. I cranked down the spring, but havent tried it yet. I had to rob the crank for another bike, so Now I’m on the lookout for a crank too.
oh cool. My origial rock shock measured at 5.5″. Is that what your measurement was too? I could only find 6.5″, but didn’t look on Amazon.
Hello, Just curious what rear shock did you use? The original Rock Shock Deluxe seems really weak. I guess it’s not rebuildable. Looking for a replacement.

I love those tires. I have two sets. Skinwall set on my 2000 Homegrown, and a blackwall set on my Schwinn Moab.
I got it back together. Replaced the rusty parts with slightly better stuff. I haven’t had a chance to ride it off road yet. Does the Swing arm bushing need to be greased? It feels like it sticks. The rear shock might be shot too. But I’ll see when I ride it.
Were all the S Series frames the same? Schwinn varied the components to adjust the price point? I got the Bike cheap. The frame is in good shape. I’m going to fix up with parts I have laying around and see how it rides.
Okay thanks for the info. maybe I’ll try it first with the O Ring off then to see if I can get it in easier. I didn’t want to break it off in there.
That’s as far down as the adapter will thread. Once it depresses the schraeder valve will air escape? If the pump wasn’t attached that is?
Cool, Thanks for the info on the adapter. I’ll get some pics in the morn. I should probably get better pics of the bike anyway. I think it is a 2000 fork. The bike seems mostly stock as described in the 200 schwinn catalog.
That’s good to hear. It seemed a little soft. Thought maybe maybe it needed a rebuild. However, it rode great. Soaked up the bumps with ease. Maybe that’s the difference between the older Judy forks?
I did another ride today. Same area, but different trails. The bike is really sweet riding. Might be the lower gears? My 97 or 98 Schwinn Moab 1 doesn’t seem to perform as well.
