ParticipantThe thumbnail was working, but I couldn’t delete the big picture. Do you as the admin have the ability to nuke the attached picture? I could repost a new post if we deleted the whole thing – I didn’t see a “delete post” choice on the edit screen. If not, no biggie. 🙂

ParticipantVery sweet! Matches my 4B perfectly. 🙂

ParticipantI have a USE XCR suspension post, vintage 1999, that I installed on my Moab back then. It’s on the bike again, as I use it for commuting. I have to say that I think the benefits are minimal. When I got the post in ’99, I thought the same thing, which is how I ended up with my Homegrown Sweetspot Carbon frame the following year.

ParticipantMy NOS carbon frame has a very prominent “Made in Taiwan” sticker on it, so these Carbons were assembled in the States, but not molded here as best I can tell.

ParticipantAnything more on this from Mr. Catellano?

ParticipantBlue, your HG4B is interesting. Along the way, it looks like someone put the SID shock from an All Mountain version on it, as those shocks were only on the gold/silver frames with the dual-crown fork. Your collection looks better than mine, that’s for sure. I have three of my bikes reduced to a pile of parts at this point as I build up my UberBanger for next year.
Our collections are remarkably similar – I have the same color Carbon Sweetspot, I have two blue HG Bangers, I have a red non-HG Banger, but instead of your nice HG hardtail, I have my 98 Moab. Someday I’ll have an HG hardtail, though. Just not yet.
December 6, 2009 at 3:04 pm in reply to: Is the Schwinn S-10 made in the USA, yeti ………? can anyone tell me more about this bike including S-20 and S-30 #2409CTB
ParticipantThese were not made my Yeti. I believe they may have been made by Control Tech, but I cannot back that up. I’m pretty sure they were American-made, just not by Yeti in Durango. Maybe someone else has more info?

ParticipantNot for a Sweetspot bike. The rear triangle of the SweetSpots is too shallow to fit a caliper between the seatstay and chainstay. I had to use a DM-UNI on my 98 HG Sweetspot. There are a couple on Ebay now. I think I got mine from Bicycle Supply, but I don’t recall.

ParticipantIf you mean the Sweetspot bikes, they are 5.5 eye-to-eye, but with 1.25″ stroke. Very weird. Usually 5.5’s are only 1″ stroke, but that would take away a full 0.75″ of wheel travel if you did that.
Someone recently posted on another forum that John Castellano, the designer of the SweetSpot suspension, sells custom shocks for the bikes, including Fox. I’m a fan of Fox, myself, but everyone has their own opinions.
Oops, forgot John’s website, which has a really cool bike for sale (the Zorro).

ParticipantThere’s a 19, but not a 17. 🙁

ParticipantThat appears to be a Cane Creek AD5, 10, or 12. Can’t tell with the cover.
