I dont believe that they changed the sizes of the rear triangles, but you definitely need to replace it. Once it cracks, no use in trying to repair it unless you only want to do street riding, and that i would advise against.
Cruise over to ebay or other trading websites and just buy another one… they are pretty easy to come by.

The BB blue is a full XTR – 8 speed.
The BB Red is a partial XT – 8 speed. I am in the process of upgrading to 9 speed.
The black is a mix of LX/XT.
Yes, I am… 17 inch frame. I have tried the 19 inch frames and they are too big, a little to far out to handle comformatbly.
This is an old frame – like maybe 96 or 97…. you may get a couple hundred for it. I wouldn’t go beyond 500 max. They are more collectors items and show items, than great frames. The technology has changed so much now that only true die-hards will pay top dollar for a mint or near mint frame. The older parts is the killer on most bikes. No one wants an 8speed xt or xtr circa 1999-2000. I think you could sell this whole rig for about 5-600 to start. You may get 700 if there was something to sweeten the deal.

You are likley correctly in that it was a yeti frame. basically this was handbuilt for speed and weight.
Would you ever consider a trade? What size it is?
If you measure from the center of the BB to the center of the seat tube where the top tube woud intersect, that gives you the size.
17=medium

I have a BB Blue 17″ frame that is fill XTR with Cane creek wheels/headset. I paid $700 and am now selling it as well… it’s an 8speed with reverse pull, the frame is in about the same condition as your’s. Id like to clear $700 as well, but think I’m going to take a bath on it. So good luck.
I say sell it and buy a correctly fitted frame – either a 17 or an 18 inch frame. The shortened stem and moved seat are a clear indication that you bought too big of a frame.
I am 5’8″ and ride 17 or 18 inch frame. I have short legs, but long torso and arms, so I bought a longer stem to fit the reach and it worked like a charm.
I think that the 2 screw holes he is referring to are the Hayes Disk Brake mounts… those were only available on certain models. I do not believe that this is one of them.
No offense, but I don’t think that it is worth $700… You have a hodge podge of parts, plus it looks like old school XT crank. Is the rear derailleur an 8speed? it also looks like a reverse pull, is it? the frame looks like it is in decent shape, I would think you clear no more than $500 tops, maybe $600 if you get lucky.
Hi, most of your stuff can be figured out by looking at the catalog scans, else just go buy an accurate metric-caliper. You can get one from home depot or menards for about $20.
To answer your bottom bracket questions, you can buy a modern one, as long as the size and length are correct. Make sure to pull the old one out first and measure. If you buy a new one, make sure to follow the measuring diagrams that are viewable online. Most reputable websites will have a diagram on how to measure them. You can get a splined or a tappered/square, but I suggest going with a nice splined one – LX at least.
Your seatpost should be correct, but measure this to be certain. A 26.8 i believe, but would need to confirm.
Front drailuer size – again, measure this to be certain.
Headset – you can go cheap and buy a “Aheadset” else a chris king is pretty much the standard. There are others, but those should get you started. Yes, it is a 1-1/8th”. The 2000 models came with an ICBM, which is what you are referring to. Pre-2000 models used a regular headset – much better.
Fork – you just need to name your price. A used SID will set you back about $200, else a new Maniotu or Fox shock with oil/dampeners/coil, will be about the same. They are heavier though, so be aware.
Brakes – you can go with a pair of AVID single digit levers for about $20 on ebay, and a pair of Deore brake arms for about $35/40. If you want nicer ones, you will spend about $40-60. The avid single digit brake levers are about as good as you will get for a cheap price.
Cranks – Yes, go with 175mm, you can get a used LX crank for about $35-60, depending on where and when you buy them. This of course depends on your BB.
A stem – just go with a Thompson or a Titec. You can find those on ebay, but I suggest you go to a bike shop to try out several lengths.
For your ’99 4 Banger, same deal with the BB. Measure it and determine the length and size. What is your issue with the Shock? The rear one? You can buy a pump, else bring it to a shop and see if someone can give it some air. If that is not working for you, let me know. I have an extra RockShock Super Delux I am willing to part with = $35, plus shipping. It isi a coil based shock.
