Sorry all, as I’ve been busy elsewhere and away from the Scwinn’s. I didn’t have any plans to make more of these but there seems to be a demand for them (at least 5 in my messages). I think I’ll get another batch started shortly. It will be a couple of months before they are ready to ship out. I’ll post up here again when they’re ready.

I Finally……got the hub out and took some pics. It is 120mm wide, but is a 36 hole hub (probably why I still have it). It looks to have been built once judging by the spoke holes, but never ridden. I think it must have been in a display wheel.

I’ll check my stash. I know I have an oddball NOS thru-axle Ringle’ disc hub on the shelf. I’ll give it a measure and see this evening.
Did the SID meet your liking? Let me know if you’re good with it. Also, post up pics of this bike your assembling!!

Good news and Bad news….
I got the fork out and it does have the lockout. It’s a black SID SL with black crown and V-brake compatible. Extra long steer tube.
Bad news, I didn’t take a picture of it and left it at home this morning.
Do you have anything for trade or just looking to buy it outright?
I’ll post up pics tomorrow. I know I have a minty black SID with black crown for V-brakes, but I don’t remember if it has a lock-out.
I thought every component on the bike was Made in the U.S.A. Maybe some Old School Ritchie’s would work??

I just want to say Thank You for creating the most beautiful paint jobs in the cycling world!! Are you able to talk about the stages of the “Bass Boat” painting process? I tried to re-create one myself, but the grey primer was leading me to a wrong outcome. I think black primer should be the start. What was the size of the glitter you used?
