LOL. I’ve got a 1989 4Runner that suffers from mid-year build change issues. I need to order the “Pre 04-89” parts to get what I need.
It shows the “Forged Dropouts with Rear Disc Brake Mount” on the second picture.

Very good catch!! I guess the blue frame in question is actually a 1999 “Pro” model. Not a Factory, but it did have the 22mm Hayes disc brake mount.
Along with everything @tomatoadmin said, hers is also a 15″ frame which is not very popular (in my opinion). It has lower end spec components, slick tires, but does look to be excellent condition. I’m in the $250-$300 camp from a local buyer. Where is it located?
That’s a smoking deal and the bike looks near perfect except for the rear brake. If I was near Cali I’d buy it.
Thanks for the info and the pics!! I’ll get a couple made out of stainless steel and gold plated right away!! If you don’t like the gold plating you can always paint them black. The gold will be similar to the color you see here.

If you’re certain the 180mm rotor clears the frame then I can make a single piece adapter that stacks up like that.
Don’t be scared. It DOES look like you will have plenty of room. If it doesn’t fit, just send it back for a full refund.

Yikes on the 2000 model though. I am working on an adapter just for those bikes as the seat stay runs lower than the older models (or maybe just on smaller frames?).
I do not know of any SLX, XT or XTR calipers with the flat road mount. The Hayes 6″ rotor will work perfectly. These do NOT appear to bolt right on and fit 2000 model Homegrown hardtails, and probably not Sweet Spot frames either.

You mean like this to run flat road calipers on Hayess 22 mount?
That looks more like a 1988-1989 Schwinn MP21 that got painted black and had Homegrown stickers added. Still not a terrible bike.
You and me both!! Good luck in the search. I’ll keep an eye on this thread and clean up the scraps, if any, that show up.
