I have a 94 aluminum Underground frame if you want it, I think that’s what you mean by Project Colorado. It is unusable since it has a cracked head tube. Just pay shipping and it’s yours. I’ve had 3 and cracked all three at the head tube. Here’s a pic of one of the whole bikes. I have stripped all the components off the frame. Let me know.livernose-schwinnpual1.jpg

I’ll post a picture as soon as I get them and put them on.

Ordered some decals with the black Schwinn script with dark gray shading from Velocals. Hopefully they will be here soon and correct for 2001 frame.

That’s a sharp bike, but the seller can ship it much cheaper.

I got the Velocal Decals and they look pretty good. They’re the foil type like the original and true to size. I previously bought some Homegrown decals from Velocal and they were WAY off on size, but these are good. I emailed them and asked if they could make the same down tube Schwinn script in black font with gray accents versus the white with black accents that I got. Awaiting an answer.

You think somebody painted parts of this? Especially since it has a texture to it and all the badges (head/ Enlightened)
are removed. I will add that I believe the 2001 frame is desirable because it is the only year with modern type brake mounts on the seat stay in the rear.

Unsure about an insurance value, but I would guess the going rate on this would be $350-$450. You could check a popular auction site to see what they are going for. Typically anything higher in price would be in top notch condition with high end bits that are close to mint and then maybe $1000 to $1200 to someone that really wants it. Sadly you’re dealing with a select market of people that like 20 year old Homegrowns and that’s how most people view these bikes, As 20 year old bikes.

Yeah, they aren’t exact but they are on vinyl not the original metallic type material. The pictures I took are not in focus either, but they look much better than the original ones which were torn, faded, and cracked all over.

I just ordered a set of decals from Velocal to see if they are better than the ones I got. Here’s the ones I got from the UK.

Thanks for the link. I wonder if those are printed on the metallic foil like the originals. If so that would be a good deal if they are the proper size. I just had a guy in the UK make me 4 sets of these in vinyl and they are on the way if they ever make it out of JFK. They been in customs for 5 days. The UK guy said he could make them in other colors too. The ones I got are for a blue frame the same color as the velocals.
