livernoseParticipantMy latest bike was built as a 1 X 10 using modern XT componentsand a Fox Fork. For brakes I used Avid Ultimate rim. Love the way it rides and I like no having a front derailleur. I am starting to think having an old frame with modern components is pretty cool.

livernoseParticipantYou ever find your shock?
livernoseParticipantThat’s the same adapter. You really have to push it past the o-ring and then thread it in. It does stay on the pump otherwise it would bleed all the air right out of the shock.
If that doesn’t work maybe the o-ring is a little too big and won’t allow it to get to the threads.
livernoseParticipantYou got a crew of neighborhood wives making these for you? AWESOME! They do good work.
livernoseParticipantMessage sent.
livernoseParticipantThe cups you sent are badazz. I’ll take my chances on the fit. The one on the left fits, so hopefully the bigger one will too. Either way the larger size is what I would like, if possible. Thanks for your efforts.
livernoseParticipantThat’s funny your wife mentioned the packers. Be sure and post photos of the progress. It is a lot of prep work making the paint look good.
livernoseParticipantI am running a 1 X 10 so I don’t have a front derailleur cable, but the furthest from drive side is the rear brake and the middle is the rear derailleur. Both run around the non-drive side of the head tube. It does rub the head tube, but I put on a clear frame protector dot where it rubs.
livernoseParticipantVery cool. XTR hubs are bullet proof and quiet.
livernoseParticipantCan you attach a photo? Not sure which adapter you are talking about. If it’s this one, the adapter stays on the pump. Attached is a photo of my adapter on my shock pump.

livernoseParticipantHere is a photo of my 24 ounce mug next to the 16 ounce one. I messaged you but didn’t know how to attach a photo to the message. I still would like a black one and 2 more blue ones, but in the 24 ounce size. The small bottom on the 24 ounce will fit in my truck cup holder.

livernoseParticipantBTW, these are the 16 oz size. Bigger would be much better. Are they available in a 24 or 30 ounce size?
livernoseParticipantSounds like a plan. I’m no painter, but have applied new decals over original 1997 bassboat paint, touched up with areas with paint, and final clear coated over everything on a few of my bikes. The original bassboat paint is not smooth.
Wonder if you might be better to apply a few coats of clear before you apply the decals and then clear coat again over top of the decals. Only suggest this because the metallic won’t be smooth and the rougher texture may show in the decals. The clear would smooth the surface out and the decals may look better.
livernoseParticipantIf it isn’t an original bassboat paint job just paint it whatever bassboat color you think looks cool. It’s hard to tell how it would look on the frame from looking at the color in a paint container. I personally like the 1997 bassboat metallic because it’s BIG.
livernoseParticipantThanks! Can’t wait to get them.
