tomatoadminKeymasterThat’s a pretty awesome deal. The lightest of the Homegrowns with the modern disc mounts.
tomatoadminKeymasterDefinitely lust after a plastic Underground, but since they’re all a bit big for me right now the one for me is the 1997 HG Factory XTR FS. Close second would be the same year Factory hardtail in the darts paintjob. I could probably go on from there…
tomatoadminKeymasterSounds like a good plan, since so many are missing those. I’ll shoot you a message on here.
tomatoadminKeymasterAwesome, thanks for posting this here. Now I just need to get my hands on a 1997 Factory FS…
tomatoadminKeymasterI increased the file size limit for posts so you can edit and add images if you like (20 mb max. total now). You can also reply to your post if you want to do it that way, or just include the link in the post.
tomatoadminKeymasterYou’re 100% correct that it’s a 1996; I apparently needed some coffee and was going off the 1995 that I somehow put in the 1996 model page. Sorry about that!
tomatoadminKeymasterEdited edit: Clayjthom knows what bike he has and I don’t. Derp.
tomatoadminKeymasterIs there a link, or better yet, the bolt specs, that you can post for future reference? I searched on that user name on ebay but didn’t find it.
tomatoadminKeymasterDefinitely not a Homegrown. Might not even be a Moab but rather a Mesa. Dropouts are stamped, less expensive ones. Not sure what’s going on with that chainstay either.
tomatoadminKeymaster2001s are somewhat sought after since they were the only Homegrowns to have the current standard disc brake mounts on the frame, and they were also some of the lightest offered. What it’s worth depends greatly on the buyer and condition, and even size. Pictures and additional info will help.
tomatoadminKeymasterThat is an odd one. Basspoint paint doesn’t show too well on cloudy days but it does look a bit off. There was one frame like that in a catalog and there’s at least one other one out there (in 17”) with the same color scheme.

tomatoadminKeymasterFrame size would also help.
tomatoadminKeymasterSounds like an interesting frame. Would love to see pictures.
tomatoadminKeymasterFigured you’d probably seen it. The missing piece to my collection but the 19” is just a bit big for me. Still debated it as bike art for a minute…
