tomatoadminKeymasterEbay, possibly craigslist. Search for Hayes 22mm (or 22 mm), sometimes also mentions Schwinn, Trek, or Klein.
tomatoadminKeymasterShould be 112 if it’s M950.

tomatoadminKeymasterYes, peeling decals are common. You can use something like 3M clear bra film to cover them and hold them down. You’ll want to be careful with prep beforehand and make sure it’s all clean, and take your time. If you do a good job of it you can barely tell it’s there. They sell it in narrower strips; 2″ is pretty convenient for our needs.

tomatoadminKeymasterWas it the seller that told you that? 😀
Those were made in Taiwan but shared many of the HG features.
tomatoadminKeymasterLooks to be in good condition. Might be a little late on this but I’d say you’re definitely in the ballpark at $275. Ebay completed-sold listings are always good. Several people have been asking pretty high prices for frames like that but they’ve been for sale for a while.
tomatoadminKeymasterBack now. Sorry ’bout that.
tomatoadminKeymasterGood question. Something was broken by a (theoretically) unrelated security update. Working on it.
tomatoadminKeymasterYeah, we tried it through FB a few years ago too, and nobody came (long story). Maybe it’s worth another shot…
tomatoadminKeymasterHard to say, but I’d ballpark $300-$400, maybe on the higher end. Ebay completed listings are a good way to see actual selling prices.
tomatoadminKeymasterYes, it’s a ’99 Pro, though with several newer/different parts.

The frame was made by Anodizing, Inc., in Portland.
tomatoadminKeymasterEh, I like ’em big…
I MAY have the skewer but it is buried if I do, and I’m not sure how soon I’ll get to it. I’ll try to keep it in mind for the weekend though.
tomatoadminKeymasterRiser bars would definitely help a bit, and any modern suspension fork will raise the front end of the bike a fair bit. It will slow down the handling a bit but that might not be all bad for you.
The build matches the Homegrown LX with the exception of the shifters/levers so could just be a swap at the shop, warranty, original buyer (if not you) didn’t like Grip Shift, etc. Hard to say.
tomatoadminKeymasterLooks to have the asymmetric chainstay, so it would be a 95. Similarly from the logo, though it’s kind of hard to tell from the picture.
Is anything functionally wrong with the fork or drivetrain? If you’re just looking to tool around with your kids, the stock (or at least period) bits should be more than adequate.
tomatoadminKeymasterSo hot!
tomatoadminKeymasterThe Suspension Homegrown XT and LX were available as black/red. See the last page of the catalog scan: http://bonustomato.com/sites/default/files/catalog/1995_flyer.pdf
