KeymasterCool, that was going to be my question. At least it’s somewhat serviceable then.
There may still be some other (more accurate) options on the way, but you guys know how I am with delivering on the goods…

KeymasterGood catch on the v1 Octalink. Those BBs are scarce now!

KeymasterHa, no worries about the hackisode…there’s all the fun stuff that either never makes it to the big stage or gets taken down quickly. So many people spamming so many weird things…
Book idea is pretty interesting…haven’t had much luck tracking down riders but could still give all that a shot one of these years.

Hat’s off to you, sir.john
KeymasterNot going to lie, when I saw the thread title I got a little worried based on some of the odd SPAM I’ve killed.
Pro tip: marry a redhead, then every day is redhead Monday. *drinks*
Sweet build. I have a pretty similar build on my 98 Factory XTR, including the red Motolites, which are an absolute PAIN.
Note to self…keep working on gallery…soon, guys!

KeymasterChristopher is a good dude. He posts on MTBR as CTB and was on here in the early days but I think just does the FB group now.
The external shim thing is definitely a little ghetto but I’m sure it would work fine. Hopefully you guys get it properly sorted though.

KeymasterI know….at some point i would like to add one. I like the classy gentleman vibe Moby has going with this one too.

KeymasterYeah, between the outside of the seat tube and the collar. You could probably even play around with some aluminum foil. McMaster and others have plastic stuff that you could use too that might not harm the finish if that area ever became exposed later on.
john
KeymasterYeah, stupid paint…you could always get some plain shim stock from a place like mcmaster.com and go that route. Probably won’t take much at all.
john
KeymasterYeah, he said he had some jerseys and stuff left but wasn’t sure when/if he was going to let them go. I’ll try to remember to hit you up if he does list anything.

KeymasterOkay, so latest update via a team rider from that era…confirmed it is a team frame, though possibly not Yeti. Waiting on more info on that front but check out a shot of a team bike from 1999 (sorry, best I could find):
