I’m all for doing whatever we can, so let’s see what Ruffway is up for and we’ll go from there.

You can check out but you can never leave, not once the Tomato’s got its claws into you (and yes, I’m speaking of the bike not the site).

Wow, really sorry to hear it, Ruffway. Not sure where you are in your recovery but I hope things progress well for you. I’d echo Nathan’s statements-as someone that’s gotten rid of bikes in the past and then missed them a bunch. Is it a shifting or braking issue (or both) with your injured fingers?

It might help if you post the sizes of the bikes if you do decide to get rid of ’em, and I can help you post pictures if you’re having trouble with that-just email me at john at bonustomato dawt kom.

Regardless, best of luck in your recovery!

They do some stuff within the bike industry, and I’ve seen decal sets with their name on them. I don’t know if that was original or if someone just had them make up some decals. Keep us posted, though.

Gary there used to do some stuff for us at Zipp.

Had to move it from the top for some odd reason as I couldn’t get the formatting to work, even just doing it purely in HTML and not in the editor. Hope that’s okay. Cool

Sorry, the larger photos don’t play well with the forum dimensions. Working on that as well as the never-ending quest for better image uploading.

Don’t have PM capability currently but that is another thing I’m hoping to get in soon.

Sweet ride-wish it was a 17″ and then I’d be trying to talk myself out of spending money I don’t have. Hope it finds a loving home.

Not sure how it is with Profile since they actually have a BMX-style crank for MTB, but I had a tough time finding a spindle with the right diameter and length for an FSA BMX crank that I adapted for a Schwinn Panther.

Out of curiosity, what pedals do you use and what cranks have you tried? Also, what grease or anti-seize have you used on your pedals? I hate to see such a heavy crank on a Homegrown but stripped cranks are no fun.

But it won’t get you anything. Laughing I’d say this one is untouchable-it is the ’64 Fender Strat to my Wayne. It is a 17, good eyes!

    Thanks for the compliments, guys.

I went through 2 others (both 19″ frames sold as 17, even with correct measurements given to me) before I got this one. I had been scouring craigslist posts from all over but with no luck. I happened to find a guy that posted it on bikeforums and I asked where he got it. Turns out he needed a larger frame so we did some parts swapping, and I ended up with a NOS Homegrown. Patience pays off…eventually.

Bosses are standard, so any shop should be able to get them for you from QBP or other distributors if they don’t have ’em in stock (you might be able to find a shop that’s got some left over from someone removing them from a frame when switching to discs).

Front derailleur is 31.8mm clamp diameter, but should be top-pull.

You bet. Sorry about the hassle-I guess that’s what you get for actually using the site a bunch. Laughing

You should now actually be able to upload images up to 8 mb each. I’d bumped up the php setting to the max allowable within the database but missed an independent setting elsewhere, so it was actually limiting it to 5 mb. Feel free to try yet again or just email it to me.

Are you still getting the same disk quota message or has it changed at all?

This sucks, I really thought I had that solved. I’ll dig back into it but in the mean time email it to me at john at bonustomato dot com.

Dang, that’s pretty bizarre. I’ve deleted those thumbnails and will run one other update so it should be fine here in a second. I will delve deeper into the settings here but give it another shot.

Naw, go for it. I was kind of the same way on the Facebook thing. I’d thought about doing the group thing but hadn’t gotten sufficiently motivated.

Let me know if you have any trouble snagging the tomato.

That is a pretty screaming deal. I called Yeti today and they don’t actually have any in stock. The carbon frame is not exactly inexpensive.
