Nice looking bike.  Can you post a few more pics?  Are you able to ship the bike or looking for local pick-up only?

The Team Red/Gold frame has double-butted seat-stays and gives a slightly more cushioned feel.  It also flexes more when applying the rear brakes and can feel “mushy”.  The orange frame will feel more rigid all around, yet only weighs 1/2 pound more.  Geometry is identical.

Adroit Rider, I have found that XTR caliper mounting bolts have a smaller diameter head then what you are using.  The smaller 4mm socket head allows for more side-to-side alignment ability than those monster bolts you’re using.

It was funny seeing your drawings for the Adroit adapter.  When I first started the development of this adapter it was for a gravel bike using a 140mm rotor because that was the standard.  I discovered that I was not able to mount the caliper and use a 140mm rotor *on Homegrown frames* due to frame interference with the caliper.  I seriously doubt the “Adroit” frame was designed for 180mm rotors, so the design you showed would not work for 160mm rotors at all.

The white concept on the right was my atempt to fit a 140mm rotor but the caliper had clearance issues.  The grey concept on the left was required for a 160mm rotor with no clearance issues.

You can see the Homegrown/Schwinn measurement for the Hayes mount is 55mm~ish from the axle to the center of the first bolt hole.  You purchased the proper adapter to run a 160mm rotor by my calculations on an Adroit frame.

Let me and the Bonus Tomato community know how your fit works.  Thanks,

These have been shown to fit on Rocket-88, hardtail Homegrown’s and Independent Fabrications.  I have a question for the buyers of this adapter.  Has anybody tried to fit one on a Sweet Spot frame?  Mr. Pivotless himself is asking me and I don’t have an answer to give him.  If a previous buyer can chime in that would be great.  Thanks for your help!!

I now have adapters remaining. I’ll get some more made, but it will be a few weeks before these become available again.

The red A2Z adapter pictured above will not allow you to use Shimano calipers.  I have tried the ISO XTR calipers and every other caliper with the basic front adapter blocks.  The only calipers that work on the Homegrown’s with an A2Z adapter are older Magura ISO calipers and Hope Mono Mini’s and they need to be the front specific to run a 160mm rotor on the rear.

So sorry for the shipping delay Mike.  I just PM’d you with a hopeful resolution for the delay in shipping.  Trying to let the world know here that I was 1 week in delay in shipping because I lost my inventory, but just found them again.  Nobody’s problem but my own.  Probably a great reason I work for a company instead of myself.  LOL

You’re in luck.  There is one on eBay right now that is what you need.  Seller says it’s 17″, but my calibrated eyeball tells me it is actually a larger size then that.

These adapters were designed for use with the Shimano Road disc caliper.  The Shimano road caliper is compatible with the shimano mountain levers.  I have not test fit SRAM or any other brand of Flat Road calipers simply because I’m partial to Shimano equipment and prefer mineral oil to industrial brake fluid.

All pieces spoken for.  I am getting a new batch of adapters made and will update when they are available.  Not doing gold this time.

OK.  I’ve got 3 requests for the Nickel Plated.  So….would any of the Nickel Plated prefer the SS for $60?  The Nickle plated weigh 41 grams and the SS weighs 37 grams.

I’ve got the 4 pieces in.  I guess I need to offer them up first come – first served.  Price on the picture includes shipping.  I prefer PayPal for payment.  Message me either directly or in this forum post with your color/material choice.
