Yep, if you sell them, you will only buy more Homegrowns later. And miss the ones you sold. Don’t do it man!

I bought a few caps, and a couple Titec seatposts in HG size. Shipping was super quick. Thanks for the heads up.

My friend sent me some pictures. The paint has a bunch of chips in it. And it could use new decals (if I could find em, all I really need is some downtube “Schwinn”). But for $350, I think it’s a decent deal.

That’s too bad that they don’t deal with individuals. I didn’t think that many people were restoring Homegrowns back to stock, that it would warrant only dealing with painters.

Maybe someone has a painter buddy that would be willing to be a middle man and get us hooked up with some decals?

Or maybe if enough of us will commit to buying some, they would deal with us as a group?

Go for it, the Bangers and Straight bike had roots in the Homegrown line.

Looks like it’s probably a 19″. You don’t see the “Phantom” style paint job very often. If it stays low, I might see if I can bid on it.

Dang, put that post on the homepage or something. Truer words could not have been spoken.

When I click on it, a new window pops up with the picture, 2100 x 1322 pixels.

I noticed the weird build on this bike. Has an XTR front derailler (but only 1 chainring), and a regular Deore rear derailler. The higher end (supposedly) SID, and I can’t figure out what the front fork is. I don’t like the crank, if it’s a nice model let me know, because I have no idea. XT hubs, don’t know what the wheels are either. Hayes brakes. Chris Kind headset, which I like. I’ll be taking all my best parts too, and making a nice Banger, with the other two eventually becoming “Beater Bangers”

I’ve found it interesting that of the three Bangers I have, two of the chainstays say ‘Lawwill’, one is blank. And two of the carbon swingarms have the ‘Easton’ square, one does not. I only wish at least one of them had the black dropouts.

Speaking of the Gold/Silver frames, those things seem to be rare. I’ve only seen one picture of one, someone over on MTBR has it.

If you can only get one, saving up and getting a Yeti (Factory Hardtail) is the way to go.
