what’s the eye to eye mesurement of the Fox rear shock?

Does the serial number start with a 96 or a 97? That might clue you in. I have a frame the same  color that came with the same color decals and it is a 96.

I messaged the guy and  he said it was a sign that someone put on a clock base. Kinda pricey.

If you get a manual for the year and review it, I’ll bet you can rebuild it. I’ve done several and the cost for the o-ring kits and seal/wipers with the oil is around $50.

Keep an eye out on a popular auction site or on FB vintage mountain bike page. I picked one up for $50 shipped a month ago. They are getting harder to find these days.

If that is a shipped price and it includes everything in the picture, that seems fair, especially since it looks like a 2001. 17″ is a desirable size.

Keep an eye on eBay. They pop up there occasionally. Usually go for around $20 to $25.

If you get the bike for $275 I would consider that a good deal. The only thing I would change is put an air fork on it.
