livernoseParticipantI’ve got that part and tried it on my son’s 19” frame. The calipers I had wouldn’t fit. I assume I would need a small caliper to work. I’m sure somebody on this forum would know what to use.
livernoseParticipantNice to see a vintage Homegrown still out racing. What front fork are you running?
livernoseParticipantThat only came on the 2000 year?
livernoseParticipantYou’re the man!
livernoseParticipantAlways wondered if theFS Homegrown bike bounces much when you are climbing and off the saddle. I’ve ridden my friend’s Cannondale FS Super V that bounces a lot.
livernoseParticipantIt’s not as dark as I would like. This is the dark blue option. There is a lighter blue option but I can’t imagine a lighter blue than this.

livernoseParticipantI used XTR canti levers and V brake calipers with no problems. If it doesn’t work you can always change them.
livernoseParticipantI got the blue tomato stem cap today. It’s supposed to be the dark blue, but it isn’t quite dark enough for my liking.

livernoseParticipantRed zip ties to match the cables. I think you might have one-upped me on the anal factor, and I’m pretty anal about bikes! Looks damn good.
livernoseParticipantNice. How’s the rear shock work?
livernoseParticipantPost some pics when you get back. I have an old Fox rear shock on a 2001 Rocket 88 frame I plan on building later this year which it isn’t leaking now, but you never know.

livernoseParticipantNice looking build. The red and black is a good color combination. Nice touch on the red cable housing in the back and black housing in front. What did you use to plug the drive side rear brake boss?
livernoseParticipantI think I still have one of the old pewter or silver color front Machine Tech hubs out in a box in the garage somewhere. I’ve always likes those hubs and have 3 red ones and 2 blue ones as front hubs on Homegrowns my family has. All laced to Mavic 517 or 717 xc rims. I also have a blue Machine Tech rear hub on my display PU, but I’ve never ridden it. They were a cheaper alternative to King hubs back in the day, but I think, just as cool looking.
livernoseParticipantMy son gets the same thing from his friends when he’s riding his Homegrown. It’s a 2001 Factory black anodized frame.I’ve never seen one like this at Wally World.

livernoseParticipantBad azz! Is the blue one the light or dark blue? I ordered the dark blue hoping it would match the funky blue Machine Tech hub on the front of my Project Underground.
