The Factory XT and XTR shared the same Yeti-made frame. Good luck with the sale, but it does seem to be a bit of a buyer’s market these days.

I used to have one. Same alloy as the other Yeti-made frames I had, same welds, and same forged (not extruded) chainstay yoke.
In Taiwan.
The Project Underground thermoplastic frames were also made by Topkey.
Easton rear triangles for the Bangers were made by Easton in Mexico. Later Topkey made these as well.
Granted, I haven’t been able to keep an eye on auctions much lately, but it seems like the part spec might not net you much extra money based on what I’ve seen lately. It’s kind of frustrating though, having parts that were once considered nice that many people don’t seem to value much now. Wish I had better advice for you.
In short, the chainstays are not asymetrical, the seatstays are not of the s-bend variety and there is no canti boss, and obviously it’s repainted and re-decaled. The cable stops also seem off. The dropouts also seem to be flat stamped, unlike what I’ve seen on other Homegrowns.
I don’t know exactly what that is but it doesn’t look like a Homegrown. Check out the 1995 model details and catalog for a bit more info and images.
Suddenly I feel a Homegrown of the month/picture contest coming on…I don’t know so much about prizes other than pride, but let me start poking around with some code and see if we can make it happen.
As it stands right now the software doesn’t provide that option but I’m looking into either custom coding options or a user map feature that would be separate. In the interim the signature option could be used for that but obviously that’s just dependent on users wanting to include that info.
Not sure how I managed that one but I guess it’s time to go through the mail archives and set that one right.

I’d be fairly confident that it’s not a ’99 as the chainstay yoke is definitely forged and not extrduded, plus that’s a dead ringer for a Yeti-frame in other areas. I’d guess it’s a ’97ish Yeti-made Factory that got re-sprayed with some creative decal usage. The only place I’ve seen the green Homegrown Factory logos is in the beginning of the ’97 Catalog on the full suspension frames shown in the action shots (but not actually on the model pages).
Regardless, it’s a sweet ride.
